Minister of Information inaugurates Kuwait Book Fair in its 43rd edition

The Kuwait International Book Fair reinforces Kuwait's lofty mission to foster creativity, thought, literature and the arts, and enjoys the full support and attention of its wise government within Kuwait's ambitious cultural strategy, the Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Kuwaiti National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters Mohammad Al-Jabri affirmed. Al-Jabri said in his speech after the inauguration of the 43rd Kuwait International Book Fair under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the presence of the Palestinian Minister of Culture, Dr. Ihab Bseisu. Al-Jabri pointed out that the outstanding achievements in the field of culture, arts and literature witnessed in Kuwait are proof of its absolute belief in the leadership, government and people of the importance of the role of culture in liberating mind and thought, which may be tainted by ideas of extremism, extremism and hatred and rejection of the other opinion. He explained that this cultural event will achieve many common goals towards sustaining awareness of Jerusalem, Palestine and Arab issues in general, and said that the choice of Kuwait to shed light on the Palestinian cause through a lecture (Jerusalem cultural resistance is an important issue and we value it very much For his part, US Ambassador to Kuwait Laurence Silverman praised the high level of the Kuwait International Book Fair, pointing out that it represents a cultural leap that enhances the status of Arab and international culture. The US ambassador praised the strong relations between the two countries in various fields, including cultural and artistic fields, pointing out that there is serious work to strengthen cooperation in the cultural field during the coming period. He pointed out the importance of the Book Fair in spreading the knowledge culture and exchanging experiences and experiences as well as the child's programs that contribute to enhancing the cultural aspects of the youth and expanding their perceptions and openness to the world. On the sidelines of the opening, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Chairman of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature Mohammad Al-Jabri met with Palestinian Culture Minister Dr. Ihab Bisiso on the sidelines of the opening of the 43rd Kuwait International Book Fair. The two sides also discussed means of joint cooperation in cultural fields and ways of enhancing them. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters Ali Al-Youha, Assistant Secretary-General for Culture Dr. Issa Al-Ansari and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Kuwait.
